Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at The Henry Clay, Louisville
The Kentucky Heritage Council and the Kentucky Department of Housing, Building and Construction are proud to announce a one-day cooperative training seminar on Chapter 34 of the Kentucky Building Code. Topics will include historic buildings by designation, change of occupancy, accessibility, additions, alterations versus repairs, seismic considerations, and fire egress.
Featuring Louisville Metro Department of Inspections, Permits, and Licenses (IPL):
- David Marchal, AIA – Construction Review Manager
- George Pate – Plan Review Supervisor
- John Orthober – Building Inspector
With a panel discussion featuring guest speakers:
- Bob Bajandas, AIA – Architect/Developer, Baja Works Development Corp.
- Bill Weyland, AIA – Architect/Developer, CityWorks
The program is being offered to Kentucky Building Inspectors and Kentucky Main Street Managers. The program offers 7 hours of continuing education credit toward the DHBC Kentucky Building Inspectors Certification Program, as well as one training unit for Main Street Managers.

The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at The Henry Clay 4th Floor Billiard Room, 604 South 3rd Street, Louisville.
Cost: $35 (includes lunch)
